ADAPT4 SELECTED FOR NTIA SHARED SPECTRUM TEST-BED: The US Dept. of Commerce's National Telecommuniations and Information Administration (NTIA) informed Adapt4 that it had been selected "to participate in the Shared Spectrum Innovation Test-Bed (Test-Bed). This pilot program is one of the key elements of President Bush's 21st Century Spectrum Policy Initiative and is an exciting opportunity for the Federal government to work cooperatively with industry, researchers, and academia to objectively evaluate new technologies that can improve management of the nation's airwaves.
"As described in the Noticed published by NTIA in the Federal Register on February 5, 2008, the Test-Bed pilot program will evaluate the ability of Dynamic Spectrum Access devices employing spectrum sensing and/or geolocation techniques to share spectrum with land mobile radio systems in the 410-420 MHz band...." more.
