Adapt4® provides a powerful software tool to simplify the installation of the XG1™ Data Radios. This software runs in almost any Windows™ laptop and provides a graphical user interface for configuring, software downloading and monitoring status and performance of the Data Radio.
Security is provided through a connection to the Network Management System to ensure that critical configuration information can only be manipulated by authorized personnel.
Visual and audible indications are included to support accurate antenna pointing by the installer. The tool also allows a site to be installed prior to being commissioned (joining the XG1 network). Radio sites can join only if they are pre-authorized by the NMS Operator. This can be done prior to installation so that there is no need to have personnel at the NMS site when Installers have completed their work.
Care has been taken to minimize the information needed by the Installers.
